Two blocks for Nellie.  This is going to make a stunning quilt!  Great idea, Nellie.

April Lucky Bee block for Deborah

Deborah sent us precisely pre-cut fabric and beautifully detailed instructions to create a variation of a pattern called Interlocking Seasons.  Here's my finished block.

I love this pattern because it looks complicated, but if you follow the instructions, it's really not very difficult.  I also love it because it has one of Deborah's favorite fabrics, which makes me smile.

I was working on the block at Dear Jane class, and Diane pointed out that it is fairly similar to the Maze of Madness block (which I loved making, despite its name).  The blocks are similar, although Deborah's is significantly larger.

Looking forward to seeing this fabulous quilt.

Need a few more petals

This is what they look like so far - we could use about 8 more petals. Doesn't it look very spring like (even if our weather doesn't agree!!!) Petal blocks are unfinished 6.5", with petal a full half inch from the edges.
Thanks.
Naomi and Rossanna.

March Lucky Bee blocks for Nellie

As March queen bee, Nellie asked us all to make Mondrian-inspired blocks.  She assigned us each two blocks and sent fabric to cover everything.  She asked us to replace one of the colored squares in each block with a tone-on-tone fabric of our own.

This is going to be one bold and modern quilt.  Can't wait to see the finished creation.
