May and June Lucky Bee blocks

For her May block, Christine sent us fabric and instructions to make a block based on the Big Star Quilt tutorial from Missouri Star Quilt Company.  Made almost entirely of half-square triangles, it was an easy and fun block.  (It didn't hurt that the fabrics I got were green and purple!)

For her June block, Margaret asked us to make an improvisational block using a combination of fabrics she sent and fabrics from our stash.  She wanted us to use only squares and rectangles, but we were asked not to use a ruler (always a challenge for me).  I think I met all of the requirements, and I think it turned out well.

Bee Block for Cynthia

Cynthia requested an improv low volume log cabin with adorable center square and skinny bold strip.

This is going to make an amazing quilt - great idea, Cynthia!
